    This hotel (with sea views!) is absolutely charming and special. The owner welcomed us and delivered a super friendly service throughout our stay. The chef is very talented and the kitchen uses a lot of local ingredients. The wine list is well chosen. All in all a real gem!

    This has to be on the top of the list for an excellent foodie experience. We received a very warm greeting by the owner and the staff. The log fire and comfortable designer furniture were a joy to experience while having a pre dinner drink. The dining room had equally comfortable designer seating and we enjoyed the current exhibition of contemporary paintings around the walls as we savoured our food.
    We will definately be returning.

    I've stayed with Brenda at the Hillside four or five times now and every time both me and my two lurchers couldn't have been made to feel more welcome or comfortable. The hotel has a very individual country house charm, the gardens are lovely and the food is fabulous! I'd definitely recommend the Hillside to anyone.
